Inside of a radio interview previous full week on Absolute Radio, an online radio station, Paul McCartney stated he, George Harrison and Ringo Starr tried to speak John Lennon out of breaking up the Beatles, but Lennon was adamant.Basically me, George [Harrison] and Ringo claimed, 'Does this need to be ultimate? Could we do a number of gigs or can we take into consideration this tomorrow?'," stated McCartney. "But John was off with Yoko and he was expressing 'No, no, it is really great--I think a release,' and all that. To ensure was kind of final."



The Beatles broke up in 1970,
