Nicely, apparently when Palin heard the history lesson in school, she took it to mean some thing else.

Here’s what the former Alaskan Governor and achievable GOP presidential nominee said based on a transcript from New York Magazine:

“He who warned, uh, the … the British that they weren’t gonna be takin’ away our arms, uh, by ringin’ those bells and, um, by makin’ certain that as he’s ridin’ his horse by means of town to send those warnin’ shots and bells that, uh, we had been gonna be secure and we had been gonna be no cost … and we were gonna be armed.”

It didn’t rather happen like that.

Throughout his well-known “Midnight Ride” Revere was riding to Lexington to warn Sam Adams and John Hancock that the British were headed their way. “The British are coming,” he explained.
