TOSCA to Salute The Late James Seaver
The Topeka Opera Society Concert Association will be at 3 p.m. Sunday in Marvin Auditorium from the Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library, 1515 S.W. 10th, to current a tribute to James Seaver, the University of Kansas professor who from 1952 right until his demise in March was host in the weekly radio software, "Opera is My Hobby," on Kansas Public Radio.

Seavers' vast collection of opera recordings permitted him to reveal many of the good voices from the prior with his listeners. The Seaver Opera Selection continues to be donated towards the Archive of Recorded Sound at KU.

In the course of TOSCA's 33-year background, Seaver offered lots of packages for that group and was preparing a person on the time of his demise. A brief film about Seaver's everyday living established by his sons to celebrate the professor's 90th birthday is going to be proven on the tribute, to which the public is invited. A light reception will follow the totally free program.
