Daniel Radcliffe Admits to Drinking Challenge
Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe has revealed he had a predicament with alcohol and has decided to give it up after becoming "too reliant" on it throughout the filming of the last 3 movies.
The 21-year-old actor stated his "famous person's lifestyle" became a dilemma on the set of Harry Potter along with the Half-Blood Prince in 2009, when he became reliant on booze, specially whisky, to have a superb time.
"There were several years there when I was just so enamoured with the concept of living some sort of famous person's lifestyle that definitely isn't suited to me," he told GQ magazine.
Radcliffe claims he has not touched alcohol since he finished filming Harry Potter as well as the Deathly Hallows: Part two in August last year.
Admitting that he can't appear to drink in moderation, Radcliffe says he likes his new way of life, even skipping the newest Potter party in favour of a night on the couch.
"I'm really enjoying the truth I can have a relationship with my girlfriend where I'm really pleasant and I'm not f---ing up completely all of the time.

Daniel Radcliffe will be the most recent actor to open up about his former struggles with alcohol. Radcliffe's life was really "going off the rails" when he was eighteen, filming Half-Blood Prince, according to British GQ. "I became so reliant on [alcohol] to take pleasure in stuff," the actor explained. "There had been a few years when I was just enamored using the thought of living some sort of well-known person's lifestyle that definitely is not suited to me."
Whiskey was his drink of choice, he says, and he's glad the paparazzi in no way caught him in the course of a bender: "I definitely got away with that, mainly because there had been lots of instances when a shot like that could have been taken." Since last August, even so, Radcliffe has been a strict teetotaler.
