The common MTV reality show is filming its fourth season in Florence.
The network said in a statement late Monday that two cast members had been involved in a crash. The statement said no alcohol was involved and nobody was arrested. It provided no further details.
SallyAnn Salsano, executive producer at "Jersey Shore" production firm 495, told The (Newark, N.J.) Star-Ledger that the incident was "just a minor fender bender." She said the show is still filming.
Photos posted on celebrity gossip internet site TMZ.com showed Polizzi and co-star Deena Nicole Cortese, apparently uninjured, sitting on the sidewalk after the crash.
Morricone to lead Rome film jury
Oscar-winning composer Ennio Morricone will head the jury at the 2011 Rome Film Festival.
Morricone has composed scores for movies which includes "The Untouchables," "The Mission" and "The Superior, the Bad and the Ugly." He was nominated for an Academy Award five times and won an Oscar for lifetime achievement in 2007.
Organizers stated Tuesday that the festival will run from Oct. 27 to Nov. 4. It will be the festival's sixth edition.

Comedian sued in Texas
A Texas man is suing comedian Andy Dick over his December performance at a Dallas nightclub.
Robert Tucker claims he suffered emotional distress and defamation as a result of an alleged incident in which Dick exposed his genitals even though walking by way of the audience.
The suit filed May perhaps 10 also names a talent agency that represents the comedian and also the club where he performed. It says they really should have recognized Dick's "long history of assaulting patrons."
The lawsuit cites Dick's January 2010 arrest on felony sexual abuse charges, following allegations he groped a bouncer and patron at a Huntington, W.Va., bar, together with other incidents.
Court documents do not list an attorney for Dick. His attorney inside the West Virginia case didn't right away return a call from The Associated Press.

Polizzi was driving when she struck the back of a police vehicle, wedging her vehicle between the patrol car along with a highway protection wall. The internet site posted photos showing Polizzi and co-star Deena Nicole Cortese, apparently uninjured, sitting on the sidewalk right after the crash.
The web page reports that Polizzi was taken into custody after the incident, but was not formally arrested.
