St. Louis (KSDK) -- A 22-year-old man faces charges right after he pointed a gun at police officers and police shot him numerous occasions.
Police stated prosecutors charged Anthony Doll with two counts of unlawful use of a weapon and resisting arrest.
The incident occurred within the 6200 block of North Point on Tuesday night.
Police stated the officers feared for their safety, in order that is why the officer shot the suspect.
Doll is hospitalized in critical condition.
The officer who shot the suspect was placed on administrative leave, that is standard process in officer-involved shootings. The officer is 32 years old and continues to be an officer for 5 years.
